WELCOME FROM QUENTIN and the STAFF

Welcome to another issue of Sound Bites

Columnist L.M. Boyd recently described the amazing good fortune of a man named Jack Wurm.

In 1949, Mr. Wurm was broke and out of a job. One day he was walking along a San Francisco beach when he came across a bottle with a piece of paper in it. As he read the note, he discovered that it was the last will and testament of Daisy Singer Alexander, heir to the Singer sewing machine fortune.

The note read, "To avoid confusion, I leave my entire estate to the lucky person who finds this bottle and to my attorney, Barry Cohen, share and share alike." According to Boyd, the courts accepted the theory that the heiress had written the note 12 years earlier, and had thrown the bottle into the Thames River in London, from where it had drifted across the oceans to the feet of a penniless and jobless Jack Wurm.

His chance discovery netted him over 6 million dollars in cash and Singer stock. How would you like to have been making Mr. Wurm's footprints on that San Francisco beach? What a find!

If you're on the internet and ready to go, you are in the right place at the right time.

With so many programs on the Internet offering huge incomes and massive downlines, it would be natural to wonder why so many people are still earning very little or no income. Chat rooms, message boards and safelists seem to be full of Ads claiming they can make you rich, or build a big downline for you.

Sadly, many people in the Internet Marketing business never break even or make a profit.

Why?

What is the number one thing that keeps people from succeeding on the Internet??

Is it not having enough money to get started? No.

Is it not knowing how to market? No.

Is it not finding the right company? No.

The biggest cause for people not succeeding is that they don't truly believe that they can. They want to, they wish they could, they hope they will, but the one thing they do not have is a desire to succeed. Hoping, wanting, and wishing are great. However, without a firm, 110% belief that you WILL, your chances of success are lessened.

A goal without a plan is a daydream!!!

A dream with a deadline is a Goal!!

It is important to take steps that re-affirm your belief in what you do.

Treat your Internet business as just that... BUSINESS. You must act professional at all times. This is a business not a hobby. If you treat this as a hobby, you will never achieve the success of an Internet business.

Be organized and structured. Have folders to separate files and Emails Create a system that keeps everything in place. Print out ALL your important documents and file them away so they are easily retrieved. Save tax information, and all other documents.

Be proud of who you are and what you do. When a person asks you what you do, be proud of your business, and show others that you are proud of your business. If others see your belief they will be 10 times more likely to join under you.

Set time aside to promote and build your business. If you have limited time online, try and create a schedule so you know what to do and when.

Keep track of dates and times of things like payments, meetings, classes and other important matters.

Keep your promises. If you tell a person you will do something for them, keep up to that promise. Integrity goes a long way.

Be a friend to every person in your downline and upline. Offer to help people when you can, and don't be afraid to ask for help when it's needed.

Dream. Your dreams will help drive you toward achieving your goals. Don't give up and don't listen to people who tell you it will not work.

Have fun and enjoy what you do

  COACHING - E-Commerce

Hello and welcome to this weeks coaching. A special welcome to all our new members.

This month we look at how to set up your own ecommerce systems. I spent weeks finding out how to do this and though I give you some of my own systems you can find literally hundreds out there.

One of the things that really propelled my business was the QPP system. Once I had it all set up it now only takes me minutes to set up a whole marketing system for a new product.

Electronic commerce on the internet is a very interesting subject when you actually come to set up your own. I spent a great deal of time investigating all the options. This was especially so here in Australia because of the banking laws.

Some companies only deal in digital products. Others only deal in tangible products like CD's books etc. The only advise I can give is that you do your own homework and really search one out that you feel meets your requirements. Ok I know you want some advise so I will tell you what I use.

As this section is about business I noticed as I was doing my research that most successful businesses whether online or off utilized some sort of system. This meant that what ever products were added they simply plugged them into the system. You can either get a full blown merchant facility or use third party ones which I discuss below. These are great if you are just starting and many of the top marketers use these type of programs.

I link 2checkout, Stormpay and Paypal. accounts together with a system called QuickPayPro and this handles all my day to day work like sales, products statistics, newsletters, affiliates, contacts and follow ups. Its my virtual secretary.

I use one other processor called Clickbank which is great if you are just starting out selling digital products and lets you also have a built in affiliate program.

For a complete overview of Clickbank here is a great eBook by my friend Tom Hua.
Open PDf Here.

There is also a free management system available which I discuss below.

The Q & A below should help you determine your requirements.

Of course once you get going there are more detailed e-commerce systems you may want to use.

What is an Internet merchant account? Do I need one?

A merchant account is a relationship between a retailer and a merchant bank that enables retailers to accept credit card payments from their customers. To qualify for a merchant account, retailers must meet the bank's often-stringent bank requirements. Internet merchant accounts, used to enable web-based credit card payments, have even more stringent requirements. Most small companies find it too expensive and cumbersome to acquire their own merchant accounts, yet credit cards are the most efficient way of doing business on the Internet.

How long does it take to establish service?

Merchants can begin accepting payment in as little as 24 hours. Some banks may take longer.

What are the risks of fraud online?

Consumers who fall victim to online fraud suffer inconveniences that range from a simple call to the credit card bank to more serious hassles such as straightening out credit reports. In the case of fraud, consumers are typically not responsible for the fraudulent charges. Merchants suffer financial losses including the cost of goods sold, as well as charge back fees from their merchant bank.

What is the right service for my business?

The important thing to consider is what you want to achieve and how much your willing to pay for that service. Services range from about 7% to a whopping 15%. Do your homework and work out your costings very carefully because once you commit you need to hang in there.

How can I control the costs of charge backs?

Charge backs primarily occur when the customer calls the credit bank's customer service and contests a given charge.

Valid customers are dissatisfied with their purchases.

Cardholder's discover their credit cards have been used fraudulently.  When the charge back amount exceeds a given percentage (often two percent) of the merchant's total billing's, merchants must pay steep fees or handling charges to the bank.

There are a number of banks and third party companies that can handle your online billing and it is really up to you to investigate and associate yourself with the one your happy with.

The one suggestion I would like to make is ask lots of questions. If they don't get back to you in a reasonable amount of time while there is no pressure the probability is when you really need them you will find they are not there for you either.

More on Free E-commerce Solution

No Internet business will work very well if you cannot collect and process credit cards. I have been amazed at how many people have joined our businesses over the years and will not use their credit card. Security is not in the processing but what happens to the card at the other end and this is why we use 2Checkout, Clickbank or Paypal for your security and ours.

If you have your own merchant account or just want a free cart using one of the many 3rd party merchant facilities then you can use Mals free e-commerce service. It is an excellent service used by literally thousands of people around the world.

Have fun!

Expect Success

Create Your Own Online Marketing "TV" Station

It will happen!

TV and the Internet will eventually merge into one giant multi-media "melting pot" that includes everything from live footage and old reruns to garage videos posted by your next door neighbour's kid.

Just like cable TV fractured network TV, the Internet will enable everyone with a voice, a video camera, and something to say to fracture cable TV even more.

But the real TV revolution on the Internet will only happen when marketers stop trying to copy TV, with its commercials and outdated modes of revenue generation, and start copying the "pay-per-view" and "infomercial" models.

One company at www.TVexe.com has started offering television broadcasts from around the world via Internet streaming.

The free software (with optional one-time $25 upgrade) allows you to stream TV feeds from around the world to your desktop through a broadband connection.

The picture rates a "C+" on the quality side, but, just like Internet telephony 6 years ago, you can expect the quality to improve quickly.

If they can keep costs down long enough to figure out how to make money, this company will likely succeed because they provide programming that’s virtually impossible to get anywhere else.

But, for the rest of us "mortals" who want to stream our images, video, and audio across the Web, trying to provide "live TV" broadcasts spells the kiss of death in both time and money.

For the vast majority of companies doing business online, it will prove virtually impossible to get a meaningful number of people to show up to a website at "8:00 P.M. Eastern" for tonight’s live "TV" broadcast.

But what will work online is adopting the "pay-per-view" model found in hotels where you watch the program you want, when you want. Offering website visitors video content they can download, start, stop, play, pause, and view on their own schedule holds the key to online "TV" success.

I hate to make this overly simplistic, but bottom line: an effective online "TV Station" only needs a basic website and the ability to allow "viewers" to download or stream video files.

All of us get two basic options when it comes to creating content to deliver from our "TV Station" website.

First, you can do "screen capture" video, which combines video of the action taking place on your computer screen with your voice as narration, to create excellent instructional content.

You then allow viewers to download this "TV program" from your website either free or for a free.

Two programs enable you to do this quickly and easily: "Screen Cam Generator" from http://www.ScreenCamSoftware.com  and "Camtasia" from http://www.TechSmith.com. If you want a copy of this program I am now an Agent.

Your second option involves using full-motion video, either from a web-cam or a camcorder.

The content most easily gets published online either as a WMV file (Windows Media Video) played with Microsoft’s Media Player, or FLV file (Flash Video) played with the free Flash "plug-in" found in most Web browsers.

Regardless of which option you choose, remember: unlike traditional TV, successful models of "TV-style" content online will empower the viewer to watch when and where they choose.
