WELCOME FROM QUENTIN and the STAFF
Welcome to another issue of Sound Bites by Quentin Brown
The Master Key System is simply one of the finest studies in self-improvement, mind-stuff, and higher consciousness ever written.
Covering everything from how to get wealthy to how to get healthy, Charles F Haanel leaves no stone unturned. With precision, he elucidates on each topic with logic and rigor that not only leaves you feeling good, but also thinking good. The book was banned by the Church in 1933 and has been hidden away for decades.
Rumor has it that while he was attending Harvard University, Bill Gates discovered and read The Master Key System. It was this book that inspired Bill Gates to drop out of the University and pursue his dream of "a computer on every desktop." You probably know the results. . .
It is Silicon Valley's secret that almost every entrepreneur who made a fortune in recent years did so by studying the words Mr. Haanel penned over eighty years ago! Almost every millionaire and billionaire in the Valley read The Master Key System by Charles F. Haanel. Since this book was no longer in print until recently, copies of The Master Key System became a hot commodity in the Valley.
Before there was Tony Robbins, Les Brown, Robert Schuller, or even Napoleon Hill there was Charles Haanel. In 1912 he created a course for a select group of elite, wealthy businessmen who benefited so much that they begged him to never publicly publish this course. It has even been suggested that Bill Gates read an out-of-print copy of the course while attending Harvard and that to this day it has acted as a blueprint for creating his life and business empire.
Like Napoleon Hill, Charles Haanel studied and researched the secrets and keys to mastering the Universe. He took his knowledge and put it together into twenty-four part educational course that became The Master Key System. He began to share these findings with some of the world's wealthiest people sending them a new section of the course on a weekly basis. These wealthy people were so impressed with the findings that they begged Charles not to go public with The Master Key System. Charles did decide to publish the system in book format; however, he NEVER intended for it to be for the general public. Copies of Haanel's original book are rarely found today.
Now if your like me you probably think that this sort of stuff is a bit hocus pocus however over the last few years I have been listening and reading a lot of this type of material. I remember what my dad told me in that if you keep getting the same results from what you are doing then change what you are doing. The secret to change this is to adjust the way you think.
This is your world exclusive to the introduction of Master Key System

COACHING - Converting Audio
Hello and welcome to this weeks coaching. A special welcome to all our new members.
This month we look at Converting Audio and how you can change formats for streaming or personal use.
Lots of people ask me how I change a wav to an mp3 or an iTunes mpu to a workable mp3. There are so many new formats it is quite likely you will want to do this at some time in the future.
CONVERTING MUSIC FOR YOUR SITE
Putting music on your site and converting for your own personal listening pleasure is a reasonably simple process.
The first thing we need to do is to determine what format you want your music.
There are basically four major formats that people use to deliver music on the web and they are MP3, Real Audio, WMA and Midi. You will also notice as you move around the web a few other formats that are used such as Quicktime and wav files.
MP3 is an audio file format. Audio files can be quite large. An MP3 file is an audio file that has been compressed (anywhere from 1/5th to 1/17th of its original size) without any noticeable loss in sound quality. That means a great sounding file, in a package small enough that it can be downloaded and stored on your PC or web page.
Creating an MP3 file is as easy as downloading some software such as MusicMatch and then inserting a cd. It is then a process of what is called ripping the cd or track you want and saving the new MP3 file to disk. Playing the MP3 file is just using the same software. It is important to observe any copyright laws.
Recording from your personal music collection:
To record a digital music file, put an audio CD in your CD-Rom drive. If you are connected to the Internet, track titles, artist name and album name of the CD in the CD-Rom will be automatically entered into the recording fields using CDDB. Click the songs you want to record, and that's it! You can also record from vinyl and cassettes!
Internet Downloads:
There are literally hundreds of thousands of songs available for download on the Internet. When you download a song, it is stored in your music library for easy access.
Producing Real Audio content is a little more complicated as it requires you to first take the song and create a wav file on your computer. You then need the encoder to convert the file. Before you can put it on the web page you will also need to create a ram file. The problem with programs like Real Audio and Windows media player is that the downloads are so big and they tend to take over your computer so I found lots of people simply wouldn't listen anymore. Tutorial from Realaudio.
One thing really good about Real Audio is a plugin that a friend of mine uses that allows him to do white board presentations. Click here to watch one.
MIDI
Creating midi files from scratch requires quite a lot of expertise and some equipment. If you go to Home Recordingyou can learn all you need. There are a number of libraries for midi files and you can insert them into your webpages quite simply.
Streaming Audio
Streaming audio is a method of delivering audio, in real-time over the Internet or corporate Intranets, with no download wait and no file to take up space on your hard disk. Effectively what happens is as soon as you request a streaming audio file - usually by clicking on a button - the first 2 or 3 seconds of the file is downloaded to your computer.
This immediately starts to play and as it does, the server continues to download the rest of the file. By the time the first few seconds of sound have been played, the next few seconds are ready, hence creating a continuous "stream".
Many of the programs available today that allow you to stream the audio require that you compile the audio file in the correct format first. This can be a very time consuming task as you need to balance the quality to size ration to allow streaming over modem connections. The software we will be using will do all this automatically for you.
To listen to audio, you need a sound card and speakers or headphones for your computer. After a somewhat slow start, Web sites that are capable of delivering relatively low-bandwidth audio content are appearing with greater frequency, most likely in response to the increasing number of multimedia-capable PCs hooking into the Internet.
Think of a bucket (the buffer) with a hole in the bottom, being topped up with water (the data). As long as there is water in the bucket, it will continue to pour out of the hole, and will do this as long as there is water in the bucket. Similarly, as long as there is data in the buffer, you will continue to hear sound.
MP3 Sound Stream 1.27 (mp3ss) is a software package that creates high quality 56Kstreaming audio from MP3 or WAV files. It uses industry standard LAME compression to produce very high quality output. The program uses flash 4 technology, which is estimated to be on 98% of computers. It will reduce a standard MP3 file by over 50% with almost no loss of quality.

Streaming video ads and sponsorships number over 1 billion served each month, according to a new AccuStream iMedia Research report.
The report, "Streaming Video Avails 2000-2005: Inventory History and Growth By Site," details 2005 streaming video ad initiatives and formats across sites with streaming advertising, as well as site-by-site streaming video usage and trends over several years.
Sites analyzed include America Online, Yahoo!, MSN Video, StupidVideos.com, ESPN.com, FOXNews.com, FOXSports.com, IFILM, and Feedroom.
"Video avails have continued to grow as the broadband Internet has matured," said Paul Palumbo, AccuStream research director. "In addition, many top streaming media sites are owned by major media brands (Time Warner, Yahoo!, Disney, Microsoft/NBC), which puts them squarely in line to benefit from a new broadband component to on-air television buys."
The report found preroll streaming advertising is the most widely used, as well as the most demanded by advertisers and agencies. CPMs (define) range from $20 to $50 and up for highly targeted demographics.
Sponsorships are most popular on TV broadcasters' Web sites, such as CBSNews.com, BET.com, and FOXNews.com. "A significant number of sites owned by major media brands that experimented with streaming video advertising in 2000 and 2001, and then moved behind subscription services, reemerged as ad-supported content sites in 2004 and 2005," Palumbo added.
Though subscribers to paid streaming sites typically view more streams per month, sites with ad or sponsorship models are increasing stream counts at a faster rate.
MSN Video's rapid growth and ad-supported model is an example of streaming video growth. Since the program's launch in February 2004, ad streams more than doubled to over 70.29 million by March 2005. Traffic was robust as well, growing from 4.5 million unique visitors in February 2004 to over 7 million in March 2005. Much of that growth is attributed to promotion on the main MSN site and partnerships with brand-name content providers, including Fox Sports, Major League Baseball, NBC, and MSNBC.
PS:Note that most references are to large corporate sites. This is because the perception is that video is very expensive however you can use the MSI Web Video entry level software for under $50.
Online Video Predictions For 2006 - by Jim Edwards
About this time every year I make a few predictions about what will rate "HOT" for the coming year in the online world. Last year, among other things, online audio topped my list for 2005.
This year, 2006, I see full-motion online video as the "killer app" to revolutionize website communications and ecommerce.
Bottom line: with a digital camcorder and some basic software, you can transform your website into the Home Shopping Network, and with distribution tools like Video.Google.com and video Podcasting on Apple's iTunes, you can broadcast to the masses just like CNN.
Several major changes in 2005 set the stage for full-motion video online.
These include faster, cheaper computers, improved video creation and conversion software, and widespread adoption of the free "Flash" Web browser plug-in (works on PC and MAC).
Combine these changes with the fact that over 50% of all Internet users in the United States got high-speed access as of 2005, and you set the stage for an online video revolution.
In 2006, you will see the equivalent of little online TV stations cropping up all over the Internet.
Along with the free-form, "anything goes" content of video blogging (vlogging), commercial use of full-motion video will fall into 4 basic categories.
Website "Infomercials" - Any savvy business knows the Internet actually represents the largest direct-response advertising medium ever seen.
As such, infomercial techniques of late-night fitness, self-improvement, and real estate gurus will spill over into other niche markets online.
Though initially not 30-minutes long like their TV counterparts, online infomercials will last 2-5 minutes - long enough to get all the main sales points across.
Live Demonstrations - If a picture is worth a thousands words, then full-motion video is worth 100,000 words!
Any product that easily gets sold once people see it in action will greatly benefit from online video.
Also, service businesses such as Realtors can now easily and inexpensively create full-motion video home tours.
And, sellers on the popular eBay auction site can now show and demonstrate their items rather than depending strictly on text and static pictures to make the sale.
Before and After - Anyone selling a diet product, skin care, cleaning, car repair or other product promising specific results for the end user can now "show and tell" using full-motion online video.
Imagine the impact of showing concrete evidence in "before and after" video to help you make the sale online.
Product Testimonials - Despite widespread acceptance of online shopping and ecommerce, many people remain skeptical and somewhat leery of purchasing anything online, especially based strictly on promises made on a website.
With video testimonials you can put their minds at ease by showing video of people who used and benefited from the product or service.
Imagine the impact that will have on the trust and credibility for any website.
A word of caution to all would-be online videographers: dial-up users still make up a huge part of the online population, so you must always try to offer them a dial-up-friendly option to watch your video or receive your information.
Don't cater strictly to the high-speed crowd because you'll alienate a significant portion of the marketplace.

They had so many people come to see the show that the police asked the man to stop doing it because of all the traffic he got on his street. They had to send special patrols just to direct the traffic. LOL
I also read somewhere (CNN I think) that at one point being he didn't want to disturb his neighbors he had a sign at the start of the street telling the visitors to tune in to a special hi-broadband station or something so they could hear the music as the lights were flashing. He was an electrician. His wife asked him to put up some Christmas lights! WOW! did she ever get her wish! And it cost him $10,000.
Testimony: I live close enough to the house in your video to see it every night on the local news. He wanted to do something different and I guess you could say he sure did.
